Ingredients
- 200 grams of minced beef
- 2 eggs
- 100 grams of soft tofu diced
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup of water
- 4 cups of beef broth
- 2 green onions chopped
- 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of white pepper
- 1 tablespoon of cooking oil
- A little bit of sesame oil for drizzling
Instructions
- Heat the cooking oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the minced beef and stir-fry until it changes color and is no longer pink.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring it to a boil. Then add the diced soft tofu.
- Stir in the light soy sauce, salt, and white pepper. Let the soup simmer for a few minutes.
- Slowly pour in the dissolved cornstarch while stirring constantly. The soup will thicken. Keep stirring until it reaches the desired consistency.
- Lightly beat the eggs in a bowl. Slowly pour the beaten eggs into the soup in a thin stream while whisking gently. The eggs will form thin, delicate strands.
- Turn off the heat. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and drizzle a little bit of sesame oil on top.
Notes
Make sure to dissolve the cornstarch well in water before adding it to the soup to avoid lumps.
Adjust the amount of salt and pepper according to your taste preferences.
If you want a more intense flavor, you can use homemade beef broth instead of store – bought.
