Stir – Fried Instant Noodles: A Quick and Tasty Meal

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 2 packets of instant noodles
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of cooking oil

Vegetables

  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1 medium – sized carrot, julienned
  • 2 – 3 leaves of cabbage, shredded
  • 2 – 3 scallions, chopped

Seasonings

  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of oyster sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pepper

Step – by – Step Cooking Process

Preparing the Noodles

  1. Boil a pot of water. Add the instant noodles and cook for about 2 – 3 minutes, or until they’re al dente. Avoid overcooking, as the noodles will continue to cook during the stir – frying process.
  2. Drain the noodles in a colander and rinse them briefly with cold water. This helps to remove the excess starch and prevent the noodles from sticking together. Set the noodles aside.

Cooking the Eggs

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in a wok or a large skillet over medium – high heat.
  2. Crack the eggs into a bowl, beat them lightly with a fork, and pour the beaten eggs into the hot wok. Scramble the eggs until they’re cooked through. Use a spatula to break the eggs into small pieces. Remove the eggs from the wok and set them aside.

Stir – Frying the Vegetables

  1. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of cooking oil to the same wok. Add the diced onion and stir – fry for about 1 minute until it becomes fragrant and translucent.
  2. Add the julienned carrot and shredded cabbage to the wok. Continue to stir – fry for 2 – 3 minutes until the vegetables start to soften.

Combining Ingredients

  1. Add the cooked noodles to the wok with the vegetables. Pour in 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1 teaspoon of oyster sauce. If you prefer, add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper. Stir well to combine all the ingredients, ensuring the noodles are evenly coated with the seasonings.
  2. Add the scrambled eggs to the wok and mix everything together. Stir – fry for an additional 1 – 2 minutes to heat the eggs through and further blend the flavors.

Serving
